Support group for women and men with issues with jobs, kids, light substance abuse, relationships, anxiety, and depression.
Chronic relapse group which meets every other Monday. The group is psychodynamic Educational and offers peers support. Appropriate clients are those who have a substance abuse history and are motivated for recovery but have struggled maintaining long term sobriety. Joy is requesting prospective clients should be referred for a 15 minute prescreening interview.
This group is for individuals engaged in a dysfunctional pattern of behavior with others. They may have low self-worth; have high tolerance for inappropriate behavior in others and a belief that caring means being responsible for those you care about. They have developed a dependence on people and things outside of themselves. The goal of the group is to learn the process of self-care; appropriate members may come from dysfunctional family backgrounds, i.e. abusive, drug/alcohol, mentally ill or extremely rigid family systems.
These groups are for clients that may be resistant to counseling. They often require counseling for issues such as substance abuse, legal and anger management issues.
For ages 14-18 to process, support, cope, and educate regarding issues with mental health, teen issues, drug experimentation, and peer/social pressures.
This group is for clients mandated by the IDRC. This is for all ages and provides education on alcohol and other substances.
For partners who have experienced the betrayal of infidelity. This group will address their trauma, help to obtain knowledge regarding infidelity, and receive support.
A diverse series of parenting issues to be covered in an open forum.
